  void addLockStatesStrict(CDOBranch branch, Collection<? extends CDOLockState> lockStates)
  
  Adds lock states without the historical best-effort exception handling.
  This method is for cache-only query actions whose sequence baseline has been accepted. A failure must escape so the lock change sequencer can suspend and request an authoritative snapshot.
  
  Parameters:
  
  branch - the branch whose cache entries are updated
  
  lockStates - the complete states captured by the query
- replaceSnapshot
  
  void replaceSnapshot(Collection<? extends CDOLockState> lockStates)
  
  Replaces the cached lock states with the given authoritative snapshot.
  Existing cached lock states are cleared before the supplied states are added. This operation is used to restore the cache after a sequence gap, when incremental updates can no longer be applied reliably.
  
  Parameters:
  
  lockStates - the complete lock-state snapshot to install
